According to him he's at the point now where he doesn't need to worry about money, ergo why he was one of the original people who turned off monetization a few years ago. That's his old take. He started using it when he swapped from Asmongold to his alt channel, Zackrawrr. And his channel is monetized now.
About a year ago, his politics reached a boiling point when commenting about Palestinians and made a comment that got him suspended. It was breaking headlines and by extension, he lost sponsors and even Twitch got affected because advertisers started pulling their ads off the platform (this was also due to people like Hasan Piker).
There were sponsors he still wouldn't take, as far as I know, but I don't think anyone really reaches out anymore, aside from those that he doesn't want to be affiliated with.
But yeah, this is getting away from the point. Asmon caters to the political crowd and says things that makes people (streamers, celebs, athletes) not want to collab with him. bbno$ even censored him out of his video.
