right now all they can do is short fake trailers like this

But I bet within 5 years, it will be possible to do full length movies. I wonder if there will be legal crackdowns on AI use
They'll probably go all-in on it, because then they wouldn't have to pay for actors, directors, producers, editors, and other workers.

Two Dollar Tuesdays returns on Tik Tok
Wait in giddy anticipation until they can start remaking the AIs films
Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ape?
I'm hanging out for the moment when the bubble eventually bursts and all these companies that invested so heavily in AI backtrack and the try suck up to everyone again
Stand out, fit in
Keep doing the only thing they know how to, making sequels, remakes, and reboots for 20-30 year old movies.
No more shall man have wings to bear him to paradise. Henceforth, he shall walk.
Major film studios are going to be fucked

Independent film might become even more appealing to directors, actors, writers, etc. who actually are anti-AI - if there are more big names that come out saying "yeah, fuck this tech" the way Guillermo del Toro has, they will get movies made. under who? who the fuck knows.

Adapt or die
Still make movies, because AI isnt capable of understanding character, motivations, editing psychology, sound, or consistency.

By the time AI is consistent enough to make a whole movie with moderate effort, the bubble will have popped and it will just be a tool to help with CGI.

The thing I've noticed with AI is that while the quality of the videos has become more impressive over the years, it still only produces a couple seconds of video at a time before having to cut away. My prediction is a few years from now that will still be the case and people will still be saying "AI can only make short videos now, but imagine when it can make full movies!"

If the ability to make movies ever becomes possible it will likely be limited to the rich. It's not something that's going to be freely available. And I think the AI bubble is likely to burst before then because it's costing them more and more money. The only reason AI has been more persistent in sticking around than crypto and NFTs, which were touted as the next big thing but you hardly hear about anymore, is because unlike those two it's free. The moment that goes away, so does AI.

Also authors.

I was messing around with Google AI and told it to write a story about a certain scenario and it was so good I wished it was a whole book.

How would publishers know if someone didn't just get their work from AI, or use AI themselves and cut out the writers altogether?
