Ashleys beliefs make for an interesting and real character. Kaiden is very meh. Only character I dont remember much of his backstory except for tortured biotic user?In 3 he was basically "I've been bi the whole time btw".
Kaiden could've used a better voice actor, along with some more interesting traits. Like I wasn't all that impressed with Carth (same voice actor) either from the Knights of the Old Republic games.I love that they were aware enough of the complaints about Carth that at one point, Kaidan tells you something along the lines of "I didn't want you to think, I was, you know...a whiner."
In 3 he was basically "I've been bi the whole time btw".Probably every gay Shep player: What the hell man?!
Definitely Ashley because of her character arc. While that would've been an interesting playthrough, Ashley loses her racism by ME2. The extreme racism of Cerberus was enough to make her go "that's going TOO far".
I've never done it ('cause I can't bring myself to play Renegade) but can she stay racist? Like if you never tell her to stop or whatever. Or is it like Pressley and just being part of the mission reshapes her views later.
I don't have a problem with how they did her character and I get there's limitations (especially with a character that might not be there in everyone's game) but it might've been neat if she ended up working at Cerberus if she didn't overcome her racism.
While that would've been an interesting playthrough, Ashley loses her racism by ME2. The extreme racism of Cerberus was enough to make her go "that's going TOO far".Which is funny, because both Miranda and Jacob are more tolerant than she was.
Which is funny, because both Miranda and Jacob are more tolerant than she was.I personally think the softer side of Cerberus we were seeing in ME2 was just a front put up by The Illusive Man in order to keep Shepard from noping out of there. Shepard is a very charismatic individual, and saved everyone from certain death, so I think that's what got the crew working under them to stop being racist.
Kaiden, Ashley is a racist
Meanwhile Garrus and Wrex in the corner: >__>Tbf, Turians are just natural assholes, so their attitude can be mistaken for racism. And Krogans have a giant chip on their shoulders due to the genophage.
Like, seriously, people sleep on how racist the non-human squadmates can get at times lol
Meanwhile Garrus and Wrex in the corner: >__>i dont use garrus or wrex either

i dont use garrusWhat?! Garrus is one of the coolest characters in gaming let alone Mass Effect.
What?! Garrus is one of the coolest characters in gaming let alone Mass Effect.he's fine, he's just boring to me for w/e reason. i use him in me1 cuz theres so few party members but not so much in 2 and 3
i dont use garrus or wrex either
the thread is about kaiden and ashley
That just leaves Liara and Tali.ill use wrex and garrus in 1, i also dont pay attention to balance
Which if you play Soldier or Vanguard, is still a balanced team so eh.
i dont use garrus or wrex either
Garrus is pretty much an I-Win button in ME3.you can build Ashley very similarly and run both of them and do pretty much nothing. i think she gets one less perk that boosts her damage, but she's very good at doing the same AR spam as Garrus
Garrus is pretty much an I-Win button in ME3.thats fine id rather be with characters i like. the games were already easy enough to 1 man army thru
Kaiden, though I kinda dislike both.
Skyrim and Mass Effect are the only two games I'll return to every few years. However, with ME, I'll only use QoL mods.
Tbf, Turians are just natural assholes, so their attitude can be mistaken for racism. And Krogans have a giant chip on their shoulders due to the genophage.Ashley has a chip on her shoulder due to the military blaming her grandfather because he surrendered his garrison when the Turians attacked Shanxi.
you can tell who never paid attention to ashley's arc past me1 in this topicHard to pay attention to a characters arc when theyre already a corpse.
you can tell who never paid attention to ashley's arc past me1 in this topic
considering even before the end of me1, she calls out a political extremist that is very racist in an endgame side quest, and absolutely refuses to work with a terrorist racist group in ME2
if you romanceher in 1 then tali in 2 and stick with tali in 3, she literally the only girl she's okay you left her for and calls her a little sister
