B/W help

I'm playing this game on a DS Lite and the first thing I notice is that the Pokemon on your side in battle looks pixelated. Is that supposed to be normal? Or do I have to play this thing on a DSi or XL to make it look normal? I don't remember DPP and HG/SS doing something like this.

I think it's normal. It's due to the fact that the sprite is enlarged a bit when it jumps around I think.

Man that's a letdown. Gamefreak can't get enough funding to make decent moving sprites.
