I don't know about that. You're literally taking 1 damage from enemies with hundreds of HP in Dawn of Souls.
Like sure, maybe the chances of losing are about the same (can't get much smaller than .1% essentially) but you have to put in a little work. You have to utilize your materia or look out for good equipment and abilities in IX.
FFIDoS is just mashing A without thought, which I'll give you is a lot like FFIV probably.
