Ask her what she wants to do on youtube to start with?
Its really not a lot different psychologically than wanting to be an actress or a pro athlete like she might see on TV
Tell her youtube is dead and she'll never make a living off it
Yeah, I don't think it's that different than dreaming of becoming a TV or movie star.
Off-topic question: I'm pretty sure most popular YouTubers target a (much) younger demographic. Any guesses as to who might be the most popular YouTuber with average viewers in their 30s or older?
Why is a webcam necessary, again?
Wouldn't screen capture and a microphone be enough?

depending on how well her boobs are coming in she could be a twitch streamer tho
I can't believe Roblox is still a thing
This topic is becoming increasingly ick.

How do you support that kind of dream for your kid lol. We don't even have a webcam lol.
Am I an old fart who is set in my ways if I was born in the 90s and grew up with no limits on gaming or Internet?
I had fun yeah, but wouldn't want my kids (of which I have none) to do the same.

Don't support that kind of dream.
Start talking about boring behind the scenes details, like how streamers on twitch do better when they stream consistently at the same time each day, how it helps to network with other streamers and send each other videos, how these services offer metrics after the stream is over. I don't exactly know youtubers, but I do know someone who got somewhat big on twitch, and then went from there to working at Blizzard.
Oh, also, if she does start uploading youtube videos at a young age, disable comments on the video.
(I follow a lot of youtube musicians, and yeah, any girls under the age of like 15, always, always comments seem to be disabled on the video; there's probably a good reason for that).
Sure? This concept doesnt have an expiration date.
