It would be interesting if he posted like, a list of the top 25 or 50 most nominated characters who missed the bracket, and left it ambiguous as to whether they simply missed the cut or were kept out due to some technicality.

No, NRT is only helpful for getting into the contest. It doesn't guarantee any contest strength at all.
This was not the best year for my bracket.
