Went to look at my truth bullets before starting the trial, and noticed that the sliding lock on the back door to the Art Lab "moves at the slightest touch". Did they set up the wax figures, stab the sword into Kaede's, spin it around, then leave at let the sword snap the door locked? That's the best (and only) theory I have regarding anything in the Lab.
