They didn't cast a pale ginger as Ariel in the live action Little Mermaid.

I have to admit, seeing a black Ariel is a little surprising. I guess I can't argue that it's a tale written by a Dutch dude, but it's still really unexpected. Is the prince also black, or are they going for a mixed cast? Only other characters I saw cast wouldn't be playing humans.
