i'll admit, i've only seen the first season and scattered episodes.
the show is situated in an interesting place, where the characters are crappy but not so crappy as to be unbelievable. a lot of shows go over the top with how horrible people behave, and that gives us enough distance to feel safely not like them- this show puts them somewhere in the middle
Hey if you dont like it you dont like it
Understood! I appreciate the rest of your explanation as well
and also the part where you relate to every decision and thought bojack has
I'll be completely honest, I don't think the average person relates to bojack. i'm crappy sometimes, but not in most of the ways that the main characters are. I know exactly one person in real life that identifies with bojack a lot, and he is the meanest person i know.
I do agree that the show is extremely well executed! It makes me feel uncomfortable with believable characters and strong writing. I think I've always been critically weak when it comes to awkward scenario humor (i.e. meet the parents, the one episode in the office, etc)
It's a good show, and i might be in the mood for it later. Kind of like how the first time I tried to play morrowind, or mass effect, or a few other games, it didn't click, but later on they became some of my favorite experiences
You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
