Honestly, I like the idea of getting sick less often. I might be immune to covid, but there is a bunch of shit i'm not immune to, and in the pre-covid times you looked bizarre if you just wore a mask. Now that it's a standard way to appear I'm just going to keep it going. This reminds me of the people who obsessively use antibacterial soap and then leave themselves with a compromised immune system that can't fight off everyday infections.
Why would anyone wear a mask if they're vaccinated other than to virtue signal? The Science says that there is no evidence that vaccinated people can actually spread Covid, and obviously the risk of getting severely sick from it is nonexistent.

Why would anyone wear a mask if they're vaccinated other than to virtue signal? On one of the first days of the mask mandates being removed, I went out with some friends (all of us vaccinated). Place we went to had a sign that masks were not required for vaccinated people. Probably about 30% of the people were wearing masks. Our group, since vaccinated, were not wearing masks. Someone in our group said, after being inside for about a minute, "wow, it feels nice to not wear a mask anymore", and I, in a very sarcastic and obviously joking voice said, "yeah, but careful, if you don't wear one, people will think you voted for Trump", and she said "Good point" and put her mask on. I thought she did it just to punctuate my joke...but she left it on for the full 1.5 hour we were there...
Not vaccinating and I havent worn one for a while now

tbh not getting vaxxed/not wearing a mask has become a trumpet virtue signal. about six months ago (pandemic was in full swing) i stopped at a restaurant/bar to pick up some food i had ordered, and everyone there yelled at me to take my mask off or get out. it was really weird!Right-wing media has been explicitly telling their viewers to harass people wearing masks and call them child abusers so yeah

I wear masks still in any indoor place with people that I don't know. Do not wear masks outside except when required, but I never did that anyway.

This reminds me of people who are quick to quote that "fact" without accounting for the very narrow range of people it (potentially) affects. An over-use of anti bacterial soap is hypothesized to have an adverse affect on the developing immune systems of children . It's a hypothesis that comes from observations that people in developing countries have lower incidence rates of things like allergies and asthma. So the logic is that people in developing countries are more likely to have exposure to pathogens. Of course the other way to view it is "the ones that survive the pathogens are more likely to have had a more sturdy immune systems" so is it the chicken or is it the egg?https://nypost.com/2019/02/22/ (linebreak) antibacterial-products-are-creating-antibiotic-resistant-superbugs/
But there is no hard science showing that antibacterial soap creates a negative immune response in adults .
But hey, get sick if it will make you feel "tougher".
I'll be fully vaccinated today, but since I work with food, I'll be required to wear one at work until further notice. This should be a country wide mandate imo. I saw maskless cooks and food workers preparing food before the vaccine was remotely available ago here in Texas. Skeezes me the hell out.

Oh I didn't realize that the McDonald's worker putting my nuggets in a carton needed to taste them first. Weird. You only eat fast food?

What's funniest to me, though, is that there are people that think anti bacterial soaps would do anything to stop a damn virus .
We still have mask mandates in Canada, but once fully vaccinated, I still plan to wear a mask in airports and on flights for the forseeable future.
It's been great not getting sick everytime i travel somewhere.
