La La Land was a great recent theatrical musical

Les Mis is probably my favorite stage musical (haven't seen the recentish film version).

Even if this has ceased being a recommendations thread, I still feel compelled to recommend 1776. Its my favorite non-animated musical, and I believe Turner Classic Movies shows it every Fourth of July, so there should soon be an opportunity to watch it.
The azuarc of the contest universe is long, but it bends toward Guruship.

Just chiming in with an anti-recommendation: Don't bother with the 2012 Les Mis movie, it sucks so bad.

But yeah you should like Hamilton if you like ITH, you'll forget it's a stage show pretty quickly.
Slowly becoming a Final Fantasy aficionado.
Just beat: Final Fantasy IX!
