Board 8 Ranks Animated Movies 3: Signup/Info Topic

That's right folks, it is time for the third iteration of the animated films project, my name is Karo, and I shall be your host today.
Animated stuff was what this whole project series was founded on, first with Disney movies, then the various other animation studios, then finally two at-large projects that this ranking will continue the tradition of.
The 2010s was a time the animation industry made great strides on pretty much all fronts, and the latter half of this decade is the primary focus of this project. The movies of the six major studios (now five, rip Blue Sky) make up a hefty 22 films of the list.
Something cool to note is that with this project, we will have watched every single oscar nominee for best animated feature.
Though the previous two iterations have just been 'gauntlet crew ranks', I know there are quite a few people on the wider board that are big fans of animation, and I hope to see a decent sized turnout this time!
We have quite a show for you today. We have Disney, we have Pixar, we have Dreamworks, we have the studio that makes all the stuff with all the yellow twinkie people.
We have CG, we have traditional, we have stop motion, hell, we even have creepy motion capture!
We have thirteen sequels wait, we have THIRTEEN sequels? Hollywood, the fuck are you doing?!

I've already seen almost half of these so hopefully I can get it done!

I've barely watched any of these but I feel like I'll have a more varied opinion on this lot than I would have some other lists. At least I saw The Mitchells vs the Machines last week so I'm out of the blocks. Also finally a reason to get around to It's A Beautiful Day which I have been putting off for about three years since someone on here recommended it.

It's such a beautiful day is literally amazing

This shouldnt be too hard to complete. I can spam watch them with the kids. Plus it looks like Ive seen around half to start.

I'm wondering if those of you who expressed interest initially are still planing to participate and if so do you think you will be able to meet the current deadline.

I've watched plenty of the movies on the list as a result of this topic but don't think I'll end up having the time to finish them all (or frankly, the motivation to get around to the likes of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation). I'll see how busy I am in a couple of weeks.

I'd still like to participate, but I would admittedly have a hard time reaching the January 1 deadline.

I forget if I said I was going to participate anywheres but I was interested when this first came up, but unfortunately not anymore for a few reasons

1) way too many movies for me to commit to, I barely made it through westerns

2) many are sequels to movies I haven't seen. makes since you guys have done this before. I thought about just watching them without context but ultimately i would probably just enjoy watching how to train your dragon 1 more. i might just find an earlier list and watch those

I definitely get that, some of them definitely lose the impact with already knowing and caring about the characters.

Others are just bad sequels to already bad movies though so it hardly matters!

Yeah, give me a couple extra weeks and I'll be able to do it.
