If there was a restaurant that was once a murder scene, would you still dine there?

There was a triple homicide about nine years ago at a Cracker Barrel in the area. The details are available online and are easy to find. The important thing is that I stayed away for years. I went back a couple of years ago, and while its still upsetting I do like their Chicken and Dumplings.

I went with my brother and niece yesterday and saw something on the wall that sort of recognized the event. It got me thinking, so heres a poll.
I don't think it would bother me unless I knew someone who was involved in the crime. Then it would probably be a bit too weird for me.
It was the drive-thru, but I ate at Culver's today. That location was once burglarized overnight and the robbers shot a contractor who was making some repairs. The guy passed away in the hospital a few hours later, and the cops eventually arrested the shooter and his accomplice. This was a few years ago.

But ghostly dinners sound cool tbh. I'd only avoid such restaurants in "that part of town" since I'd never eat there anyway.

Probably wouldn't bother me. There was that case where a Lululemon employee murdered her coworker and the place opened back up after a while, and people still shop there.

The hiring manager probably should have screened their employees a bit better...

Thanks, I try.
Sure. Sometimes I even drive on roads where people have died.
Bells, bells, bells!
There was famously a mass murder at a Browns Chicken (a Chicago area chain of restaurants) and eventually they just tore the place down and built a new Chase bank there

but if they hadnt, and if I lived near that one instead of the one I live near now... I would definitely still eat there. Its actually pretty fucked up, the murders led to like 100 Browns locations closing because sales dropped afterward.
Like, its not the restaurants fault that people were murdered there, theres no reason to think its going to happen again there or at another Browns location.

all that said... I would not go to the murder Cracker Barrel because Cracker Barrel isnt good enough to warrant dealing with the spookiness

Theres a Churchs Chicken near my house that has been vacant for over a decade after a robbery-turned-execution-style-murder

I didnt particularly care for Churchs Chicken to start with, but if something else opened there I would go
You know an Italian restaurant is good when a mafia guy has gotten whacked there.

Ahhhhh if we're talking about the cracker barrel near Cleveland, yeah as soon as I realized it was opened up again (a few months), I went back soon after. I was a little worried it would feel weird, but once I stepped inside I basically forgot it even happened. It's a good cracker barrel.

Also I assume there are murders all the time near places I visit, and I just don't hear about it.

Real diners don't let me shop for extremely useless novelties immediately before and after I eat in the same building.

I don't disagree, but they're really only significantly better for selection for the most part.

Not counting pure breakfast places that close at like 1-2pm, but that sort of negates my original point.

Look, if you can find me one that has better hashbrown casserole I'll try it.

Otherwise I've been to some damn good diners.
