I don't understand the premise of the question... Dissidia was in no way ever designed to be a mainline so why even entertain such a hypothetical

might as well ask the same question if Fortune Street was released as a numbered FF

I can understand some people may have issues with dissidia, but what about chocobo racing

I think it makes a lot of sense to have that as a mainline FF

11 and 14 are mainline - that's kind of the entire point of them being numbered. I'm not even up to Shadowbringers yet and I'm already prepared to call 14 a top entry in the series so it definitely deserves that position, too.

11 and 14 are mainline but I don't think they should've been. This has been talked about before but giving 11 a number instead of just calling it 'Final Fantasy Online' devalued the whole number system, as so many people are unable/unwilling to play MMOs it stopped the mainlines being seen as unmissable entries. I think it hurt the series brand in the long run.

Also it's sad Tactics is relegated to spinoff status as it deserves more acknowledgment :(

then all of the people who wouldn't like 11's combat would be turned off by 12 and the rest would've been filtered by 13 being trash for a pretty similar result

FF10 is actually the last numbered entry in the series I played. Calling FFOnline FF11 is one of the stupidest thing they could have done imo.
