Are your local board of education elections turning nasty?

Our local school board has a wide variety of candidates. The candidates have been relatively well-behaved, but the supporters are being nasty in the FB comments. This used to be such an inconsequential vote...

My district is so heavily blue that the real elections were the primaries back in June. Nobody's really talking about the actual election here.

The main norm being broken in my area is the Republican party funding certain candidates in local races previously labeled as non-partisan races.
