lol calendars are difficult

So for our seventh iteration we are doing things a bit differently. When you sign-up, please list your two MAIN CHARACTERS. Your opponents for this tournament will have to pick which of YOUR mains they want to play as. It's going to be pretty nuts, I think. My buddy Nick tried to make it this week but couldn't due to work. He's gonna try again in two weeks, I think he's got a fun character spread. I can't wait to lose to all of y'all with Sephiroth.

I want to try to get enough people to do Round Robin with two groups of like... 6 at least so everyone gets to try out everyone else's mains. I think stingers probably has a huge advantage here because he's so tough with most of the cast, but who knows.

Ermine is laughing and rubbing his hands together as the only Duck Hunt/Ridley main on the planet.

It's definitely more accurate to say Duck Hunt is my actual main at this point. The first 6 months of Ultimate I probably clocked ALL of those Ridley hours in since I was playing him a TON. After the first year though, I slowly swapped back to Duck Hunt, my Smash 4 main.

Perfect timing to post some stats I came up with! Essentially, this is a list of which characters were buffed and nerfed the most throughout Ultimate's lifespan. Every buff was counted as +1 while every nerf was counted as -1; a character's number is based on the net value of adding those buffs and nerfs together. These lists ARE ordered within tiers.

Some fun facts:
1. Mewtwo is the most buffed character. Pichu and Min-min are the most nerfed. The most untouched non-DLC character is Squirtle.
2. Patch 3.1.0. was the most polarizing patch in the game's history. Huge changes happened to multiple characters. The biggest standouts were Ken receiving 18 buffs and Pichu receiving 14 nerfs.
3. Min-Min was nerfed by far the most of any DLC character, although Joker got hit a decent amount as well.
4. Ganondorf was the only heavy in the game to not receive at least a decent amount of buffs. Personal thoughts here, but as the SSB balancing team said they take online win rates heavily into account, this basically confirms that Ganondorf is an online menace despite his status as a shitty offline character.

If Ridley were reverted to vanilla today you'd definitely notice the difference, but yeah his list of buffs is mostly just a bunch of minor stuff. Not all buffs are equally important.
