First on the chopping block?

This means I get to play some of the PS4 games I had when my old roommate moved out, amongst other things, but what do I hit up first?

For context, I played DS2 but only partway, ditto for DS3, and Samurai Shodown I played before any DLC came out and I'm itching for some Basara/Baiken/Nakoruru gameplay again, and for the Nonary games I've already had 999 spoiled but not the others. I will need to purchase DLC for Samsho, and will need to purchase Strive in its entirety.

(I've also got a Switch backlog but we're ignoring that since I can play it in bed.)

My first purchase was Elden Ring when I got my PS5 at the end of June 2022.
Warning, the self-destruct system has been activated, all personnel should evacuate immediately, 5 minutes to detonation.

Also, since I never had a PS4, I'm getting caught up there too. So, I am playing RE2 Remake as well, on top of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night too.

Astro's Playroom is great, you already own it, and it's much better than Returnal.

Nier Automata and Elden Ring are my two favorites from the poll. VLR is also very good.

I still haven't finished Elden Ring yet, but, I'm very much right at the end though.

I found the first quarter of the game is mainly tough, since your character doesn't have much to work with, while the second quarter was relatively easy. A high powered character rolls past everything at that point with little difficulty. [There was one boss I didn't have to worry about at all, since its attacks were completely negligible in terms of damage.] The difficulty really ramps up during the third quarter however, and the final quarter maintains that difficulty throughout.

I am also playing Tales of Arise right now too.
