I remember catching Feebas. I put fresh batteries in my GBA, turned on a Mythbusters marathon on TV, and just fished for two and a half hours until I caught one.
I'm not even mad. It felt cool to own such a rare Pokemon. And I loved breeding it and giving out eggs to people. It was great being "the Feebas guy". It was honestly kind of disappointing that it was made easier to catch in later gens. It lost a lot of uniqueness. But I understand why they did it.
