I think me turning on my Wii U like once every 1-2 years since the Switch came out spared me of that. I also noticed that it periodically would have an orange light on the power light, which probably helped keep it active throughout the years as well.Yeah I played through some games in 2020-2022, so that helped me out. The orange light, I believe, is the system connecting to the internet to check for updates, even if it's powered down.
