With RE4Make on the horizon, let's have an All-Purpose Resident Evil Topic

So I'm a little ashamed to admit I haven't played RE7 or 8 yet.

I have the option to play with my buddy's VR headset or regular. What's better for a first time run? I doubt I'd be the type to get dizzy or sick from VR, I always play with my 3DS slider at max.
