I remember when I learned that the "chlorine smell" of pools is actually the smell of choloramines, which are created when perspiration or urine combine with chlorine. So that distinctive smell of pools is caused by pool water being contaminated with piss and sweat.

I feel like most of the people voting for shower pee are they themselves shower pee-ers. We need an 8 option variant to filter those mongrels out like chlorine does for urinological contaminants.

This isnt true though, my old roommate worked at a pool supply store and the entire place smells like chlorine.

I could be wrong, but I suspect theyre not peeing in their tanks, lol.

If you want to find out for sure, mix bleach and ammonia and see what that smells like. It should also produce chloroamines

While I'm sure most people recognize this as a joke, please don't make homebrew mustard gas. I did that inadvertently once, and I was fortunate that I was doing it outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.
