re: Suns - Warriors/Lakers, I honestly think that the insane minutes load for Durant and Booker will be way too much even if they escape Denver. I think Denver presents a better fight should they make it due to their depth.
yet all azuarc of all sorts are more or less capricious and unreliable - they live in the varying outer weather, and they inhale its fickleness

I mean, I get being worried about Durant due to injury history and age, but I don't get it for Booker. Dude is beginning his prime, he should be able to handle these minutes, I'd argue anyone in the NBA should be able to handle these minutes. I think the big thing is that Booker hasn't looked tired. Where as it's been obvious sometimes for Durant that he was running low, and on the opposite side near the end of the game Murray looked absolutely drained.

However, Suns desperately need a third guy to step up, or have 2-3 guys just up their game a bit if they want any chance at all.

That's fair, especially if the other series ends sooner. Those two teams aren't exactly young either, after all. The Lakers have a similar problem with an old and not completely healthy Lebron and a glass AD, but things could definitely get out of hand against the Warriors if KD and/or CP3 aren't 100%

I'm still confident in the Suns to pull it out, even as unlikely as it is. Only because while Durant is still putting up Durant like numbers, he isn't playing like Durant. Once that KD decides to show up it leaves less pressure on the likes of the role players and the bench.

I can only hope to God Monty has figured out a rotation by now.

i think KD can still turn it on like that on offense

problem is I don't think he can do it on defense. he doesn't have enough energy to play top tier defense like he did in golden state, and that could be a major issue in the series (and most certainly against the warriors if that's the conference finals opponent)

Huh? He had one the best shooting years ever....this year.

Shit I'm not even talking about KD going God mode, he doesn't need to do that either. He literally just needs to be better than 10-27, 2-12 and 12-31, 1-5, and the Suns still managed a win out of one of those performances. KD makes a few more shots and you are looking at a 2-1 Suns lead right now.

I guess that's what I'm talking about: he's still good but I don't think he can take over a game anymore. And if he's playing average or poorly, he can't flip a switch and get out of it. Perhaps I'll be proven wrong and he'll drop 50 next game.

can safely say this was not the case the rest of the game. and the second foul on al in OT, where embiid shot FTs, was pretty iffy.

anyway, fantastic game, insanely clutch by harden the whole way through. sad that al's D on embiid came up juuuust short at the end.
