Ryunosuke is really cute and a great character too. Roly is also very endearing. Debeste started out a massive jerkwad but man does he have character development for DAYS.

These are some really good characters. Very deep batch, it'll be interesting to see who all ends up 2nd through 6th.

Ryunosuke > Ron > Sebastian > Sasha > Hosonaga > Roly >>>> Sal > Romein > Rouge > Servius

Haven't been continuing my replay of PLvPW for a while, so those characters get the shaft here.

I love Ryunosuke. Easily my favorite protagonist since Phoenix and, in some ways, is better than him. The gimmick of everyone being able to read his mind is great.

People have only become more and more terminally online since 2005. Seems like an easy update.

AA1 originally came out in 2001. I always wondered what Sal was like in the original Japanese text. IRC chat?

He doesn't have a gimmick in japanese at all aside from being a creepy otaku dude. The leetspeak was completely a localization invention, and it's aged well because it makes sal seem EVEN MORE LAME with time which I think is hilarious

He's a pansy. For a series rife with God knows how many types of characters, silent dork with no spine (regardless of how the case wants to hint otherwise) is a recipe for, "Get this case over with."
