In a vacuum I might have liked Apollo more, but he's too intrinsically connected to all the plot nonsense that nearly destroyed canon. Bad associations are hard to overcome.
If anything, in his own game, he's the player avatar who hates everything that's happening as much as you do.It doesn't really have anything to do with the writing for Apollo himself. He stars in the worst game in the series, and his name is even in the title. That matters for inherent public perception. I guarantee he does better in this poll if AA4 isn't called Apollo Justice.
