Go on a midweek school day before or after summer vacation and you basically can walk right onto anythingI'm going tomorrow
Use the app to maximize getting on stuff with the least wait times.
You can probably skip the majority of the older coasters. Some of them kinda hurt to be on and are a bit rickety. Also skip the mine cart coaster too.
But it's easily the park with the best coasters, no question. Have fun!
Cedar Creek Mine Ride is literally the second oldest coaster there lolI had no idea. Lol It seemed a bit more modern than the rest. It felt like a kid's ride though disguised as a proper coaster.
Nah I'm here for the back pain.

Nah I'm here for the back pain.Well, I would normally say to do them anyway because roller coasters rule, but I'm saying this because there are SO MANY roller coasters there, and you'll be pressed for time to go on all of the better ones, so I would prioritize those!
If i can walk without pain on Thursday i did something wrong.

I still regret not being able to go on that new wooden hybrid coaster they just built because we wasted time with the older ones.
I am prepared to forgo lunch to hit every coaster if i have to.That's what we did too! An entire day after an early breakfast, and we only got ice cream at the very end before we squeezed time in for the Valkyrie!
I would say very. You'll feel like you're going at a good pace at first, but then as the day goes on, the wait times get a lot longer. And then surprise maintenance on some rides happens too.
I'm sure they have at least one other new coaster too since the last time I went too, so you'll probably have even more crunch.
Oh that actually makes me remember another actual strategy:Yeah im curious as to the actual scale of the park. This can determine how much it is actually worth it to walk at opening hours when lines are shortest.
If youre getting there at opening, start in the back and work your way to the front. Youll be working opposite the masses.
Older coasters are cool! Ride the Gemini, its a unique experience.Of all things im looking to ride Corkscrew is high on my list. It is a clone of an old coaster at Knotts removed before i was old enough to ride or really remember.
Yeah im curious as to the actual scale of the park. This can determine how much it is actually worth it to walk at opening hours when lines are shortest. They have 18 roller coasters, and because of that, the park needs to be pretty enormous to hold them all. So it's a little bit of a hike. But I think it's worth it, especially to get on Steel Vengeance early, since that one always has long wait times.

Also keep in mind that 2 of the coasters are literally for children and they wont let you on without one lolYeah not really counting those.
I used to be pretty scared of roller coasters when I was a kid but something changed in my brain when I was like 12. I think I realized that all I had to do was just sit down.Safety record for coasters is extremely good. Safety is in fact first priority to making sure guests keep flowing in.
It's not like I'm jumping out of a plane or bungee jumping, just have to be brave enough to sit down.
I am prepared to forgo lunch to hit every coaster if i have to.
When I went in 2003, Raptor was my favorite coaster. I was lucky to ride that one twice because everything else was a 2-hour wait.Raptor hasn't been opened for a couple days at least not counting on it.
Millennium Force was great but didn't live up to the massive hype. Magnum XL-200 was good. I think I rode Mantis and loved it, but my memory's shaky.
Top-Thrill Dragster (at that point the fastest/highest coaster on Earth) was shut down that day due to some knucklehead injuring himself after sticking his hands in the air.
I really want to go back someday. Awesome theme park.
Of the older coasters I think Magnum is still worth it. The rest are skippable if youre short on time.
All the coasters are great except Raptor imo. The way its setup, youre basically guaranteed to smack your head against the shoulder harness, its the one that always gave me a headache.

Also Iron Dragon is underrated.
Yeah this is definitely a thing. It takes 3 to 5 rides to kind of grasp head positioning and weather you need to relax or try to hold into a specific position. And the big thing is whether to keep your head back or if a slight lean forward is preferable.
Learning how to ride each coaster is underrated and probably impossible as an infrequent visitor on a busy day.
Come down toward Cincinnati and visit Kings Island instead. Will do at some point in the future. Pairing baseball with amusement park visits.

Sounds like you're describing Mantis....never had this problem with Raptor, it's my fave, then Millennium 2nd.
Kings Island has two big ass coasters and the only restraints on them are little shits.
I mean look at this:
