That seems like a terrible justification to me, like saying Hitler isn't that evil because he'll be happy once his genocide is complete and he's conquered the world.
More along the lines of if Hitler purposely left some jews alive to constantly torture and fuck with for the lawlz vs total extermination. Its not a matter of being "that evil" because of course its evil. I just find those who seek to bring constant suffering (especially for something as mundane as mere amusement) forever to be more evil than outright extermination with a sort of cause where they will "stop".
