It was the right winner for sure. Im not big on a lot of parts of MtG lore but MtG really did that guy right.

Honestly agreed with most of the results. Davros is probably the only winner I voted against often.

Who do you think got snubbed in the contest, and some who just didn't feel like they fit in. Probably the biggest oops was Dracula (Novel) who just didn't feel nearly as evil as anyone else out there.

personally wished bill cipher made it a little farther, as my brain is hyperfixating hard on gravity falls lately >> but overall i have no complaints. there were some lightweights, but it was still a decent batch of baddies!

the wicked witch of the west for sure! maybe its because i went through a wicked phase aaaaages ago, but its hard for me to visualise her as anything else but a tragic character.

Yeah, as someone who didn't know about Yawgmoth before this contest, I don't think anyone from the bracket would have been a better winner.

Looking through the full bracket again, Yawgmoth really is the most deserving winner of them all. Excellent!

The whole contest played out nearly flawless, aside from a couple matches where the "wants to seem smart" crowd pushed one of these too far.

Luca over Kefka was too bad though, although it didn't really matter since Yawgmoth was going to rightfully stomp the winner either way.

Not snubbed, because they aren't well-known to the board, but in hindsight, a character I should have considered nominating is Dottore from Genshin Impact. Given the two finalists, I think he would have done quite well since he's another sociopath scientist with a wide reach throughout his realm over many centuries.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.

Thinking someone who just wants to smite vile HERETICAL witches is evil? PFFFT! I mean sure maybe the whole "kill some form of your brother over and over" thing miiiight be a bit 'bad' I guess...but it was totally for a good cause! The brother was led astray by those heathens man and he kept fucking up! It is kind of funny to imagine how Belos would be seen if he was in Warhammer 40k or something

Anyway, not super familiar with Yawgmoth but he seemed like a good winner from what was posted. Would like to see this again with fresh blood to talk about. I was kind of surprised The Ancestor from Darkest Dungeon didn't make it in this. That dude is literally "Local Man ruins everything" the character. I'd have also liked to see Asdrubael Vect and Black Hat get in.

I was talking about this contest with someone who knows MtG lore and they said in their opinion Yawgmoth isn't even the most evil Magic character! They would've picked Nicol Bolas.

Nicky B is definitely evil, but he's far from Yawgmoth's level. He's a damn power-hungry and super-wizard tyrant, but he is more of the power broker type. He ruled the empire of Madara back in his first life and was, well, not content, what with him tearing up whatever parts of the continent earned his ire, but he inherently had way more power than Yawgy did and did far less with it.

Even as he did his nefarious schemes through his agents -- and he did plenty of them, including hijacking the entire plane of Amonkhet to be his personal zombie army factory -- he was way more of a string-puller than someone who forced people to convert to him on a large scale. Tezzeret and Vraska escaped his servitude with themselves (mostly) intact, and he even honored his bargains with them.

Great contest, was hoping this would be Davross year but a good winner nonetheless. It would be interesting to see another Most Powerful Contest, if only because it would be fun to see Yhwach cause some havoc as far as characters who emerged since the last one go.

Assuming you're talking about a contest for "who wins in a fight," NFUN ran something similar a few years ago called King of Fighters with character tiers. I'd love to see another who-wins-in-a-fight contest.

I think most powerful if presented in a less "who would win in a fight" scenario and more "let's just talk who would be most powerful if they fully used their power" would be interesting

Like Magneto beats Professor X in a fight cause of his helmet and general ruthlessness probably but X is more powerful I think? I dunno. It would be more comparable to this contest to do it in that format in any case.

I like and loathe the return of MPFC just due to the nature of versus battle talk and how they can get nonsensical (just look at vsbw and the wacky stuff they spew about characters). Doctor with the TARDIS beating Wally West that one time because "he'd just figure out a way" was funny though

While Death Battle is idiotic with its reasoning the vast majority of the time the funny thing was technically that wasn't even Doctor at his best. He apparently does even goofier stuff in the novels
