How ridiculous can we get. Oh hey, the first page of this topic reminded me, what series is Roy from....because he was in Smash Bros before he was in Fire Emblem and his ass should have stayed there !

Why the hell would you exclude mascot characters? Literally the point of a mascot is to be an icon that represents the series.

I'm totally convinced by DQ Slime, I take that in a heartbeat over all of these options

But anyway, yeah. Pokmon is the biggest media franchise. If you seriously think Sora can compete with that, well, youre kinda just coping. The smash ballot is not an argument unless you can explain how the top 5 most iconic gaming characters not in smash at the time were Ridley, K. Rool, Sora, Bayonetta, and Banjo.

Like, Sakurai has said Geno has been a really common request for Smash for years. That doesnt make him more iconic than everyone less asked than he is.
