Saw it in my subscribe and I friggin love all three of the guests. Posting my score when I get home (I said I was hungry, went out to dinner before remembering to post it.)

I would not have gotten 2/3rds of bonus round 2 though without Jules, FWIW.

I forget the question as stated, but I know the soundtracks that hit me developmentally were Secret of Mana, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, and Perfect Dark. I don't have a favorite soundtrack, but I probably go back to Trails in the Sky SC & Perfect Dark the most when I want to listen to video game music.

Edit: * on two of the games guessed are points I only got because of my eventual song ranking topic. I have heard those two too many times now.

Round 2 - 16 points. Set 1 - Animal Crossing; Set 2 - Secret of Mana, half points for Kingdom Hearts; Set 3 - Chrono Cross, half points for Yakuza, Earthbound, Theme: Musicians/Musical Performances

Bonus Round 1 - 6 points. Final Fantasy XIII, Star Fox 2, Bravely Default

Round 3 - 12 points. Rouge, Sheik, Gato

Round 4 - 6 points. Half points for Pokemon, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Oh boy, time for my favourite vgm based internet quiz and this time I'm actually keeping track of my scores!!!

R-1: 12
I'm kicking myself over not getting New Junk City right away. Probably the one good thing Tommy T. did. I also missed the PoP song, but I don't feel bad about not getting something that's new. Not remembering Rainbow Road was disappointing, but Jules explained why it threw me off. Also I'm so disappointed Herald of Darkness wasn't guessed immediately! That song has been living in my head rent free ever since AW2 came out.

R-2: 34
Guessed the wrong MGS game because I thought the theme was different lol. Decided to give myself leeway with the second theme, I guessed "Christmas" but was thinking about Santa specifically. KH2 Christmas Town <3 EarthBound!!! This third theme was actually my initial guess for the first theme.

B-1: 10
HOW did I blank on the CotND song?? HOW did I blank on FTL?? HOW did I blank on NMH?? So many OSTs I love and just completely forgot about. Incredibly boring "fun" fact is that I nominated the FF14 version of Weight of the World for a FF music contest on this very board.

Bonus question: Definitely a lot of old school JRPGS for me: Like Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and Skies of Arcadia ... The first two is part of why I'm a lifelong Yasunori Mitsuda stan. Minecraft and Jet Set Radio are also two big OSTs that made me realise my tastes were more varied than I thought, so I wanna shout em out too. And I can confirm Origami King has great music. There's so much variety in it.

Guessed Zack on a whim bc I knew the game, guessed Mumbo on a whim bc I knew the composer, guessed Leon on a whim bc of those CHEERS. I've been putting off listening to the Octopath 2 OST and I paid the price. :( but omg YESSSS my girl rouge!! love her theme

R-4: 24
Never played WoW. Not getting Minecraft is embarrassing to me in so many ways I don't want to talk about it I had a momentary lapse of sanity. I blame it on the fact that it was just the chime isolated w/o other sfx. Guessed the wrong FE and Pokemon games. Not getting Dragon Quest also is embarrassing! Surprised I did decently this round, usually I fail miserably during the SFX round cuz music sticks in my head harder.

R-5: 21
NES/Famicom is my weak spot so lets see how it goes ... one of these days someone is gonna pick the option that benefits me the most. guessed Aquarius on a whim but got the wrong CV game LOL and i got my robot masters mixed up. I recognised the SMB 3 song, but forgot what world it is. I completely blanked on Metroid :(

B-2: 28
the second one stumped me. I recognised ff, completely forgot phantasy star existed which rly doesn't make sense

A lot of fun as always! I think this is the first time I'm already subbed to one of the guests (8BitDrummer). I knew Tera picking NES would give the game to him! Someone really needs to choose the Dreamcast round, give me that sweet Shenmue score.

As for the midway q... Final Fantasy VIII is one of the early OSTs that struck a chord with me, as is Sonic Adventure 2 (I lol'd at Rouge coming almost straight after that)
