Didnt see anything from the games today, but good results for City! I told you Palace was game!

And theres a reason City let Jesus go. He was a B (or B+) tier player. Wasnt good enough when Aguero was out. If youre leaving City, theres a good reason.

I'm fucking finished with both him and Zinchenko. They were both absolutely awful today. If I have to see Jesus get up with his sad ginger bread man face after losing a duel one more time I may break my screen.

Zinchenko? What is the fucking point if he can't even make simple progressive passes? He's supposed to be ELITE at that, but more often than not he's plodding and slow with his decision making so it's essentially a zero gain for us. I'm so fucking angry about those two in specific.

But the biggest one I'm mad at is Arteta. You have a team with continuity who have been dominating the league through February and March, and with 7 games to go you change it up to accommodate the City rejects??? WHY?

I just don't know what to do. We built such an incredible platform and gave ourselves such a wonderful opportunity just to throw it all away again when it mattered.

Fucking bottlers.

I seem to recall someone telling me not to go all crazy when I was all doom and gloom when my team was still within 3 points of the leaders. Arsenal (and Liverpool) are still only 2 points back of City. Anything can happen.

More mid-week European games for all 3 clubs. City face Chelsea in the FA Cup on Saturday. Arsenal away to Wolves on Saturday. Liverpool away to Fulham on Sunday.

The race is over.

City and the 115 machine won't drop any points, because they've been allowed to fraudulently develop a squad with three starters at every position to the point where they can rest and rotate and not burn their team out. Meanwhile us and LFC have put together our teams honorably and within the laws of the game, and the pressure to be perfect at every interval leads to guys being overplayed and exhausted.

Manchester City as a football club isn't just the worst thing to happen to this sport, it's the worst thing to happen to ANY sport. And the powers that be will sit and do absolutely nothing as they cheat their way to yet another treble at the expense of the rest of us.

I bet if they knock out Real Madrid again, the Madrid fans will make enough noise about their cheating to maybe have something done about it, but we'll see.

Nowhere before this run by Guardiola in the league's history did you need MINIMUM 90 points to even think about a league title. In previous, fair iterations of the premier league, LFC and Arsenal would both have been able to slip up like this and have it not feel like the ultimate dagger.

On top of having three starters for every position and being able to constantly rotate, City also get the benefit of EVERY refereeing decision. Doku's karate kick not being a penalty is the latest in a long string of decisions absolutely always going their way. Rodri's handball against Everton is another one that springs to mind.

What's even more of a joke is that while the powers at be drag their feet about doing anything about all of this sportswashed cheating, we've seen Everton, Forest, and other clubs hit with points deductions with an absolute quickness. It's a fucking joke.

There is a ongoing case and it dates no later than about 2018 (probably because they have won everything since then). There would be no 115 case if there was no interest in looking into it. But it's not about spending limits simply, that has not always been a rule, it's mostly about reports.

Like that there is just ridiculous and vastly overstaying things shadows the good points more often than not. Refereeing decisions haven't been particular helpful and you can name a few for every team. One of the two isn't even a good example, and you can also find opposites.

Three starters for every position is also incorrect. There have little backup on several. They have rotated more home grown players in than Arsenal, it has worked.

The single bad call I've ever seen go against Manchester City was the Fernandes goal at Old Trafford last year when Rashford was clearly offside.

And that can just be chalked up to Old Trafford more than something actually going against City. We had an even more egregious one go against us at Old Trafford last season as well.

Barca managed to spare most starters in the weekend. PSG seemingly hasn't played since. Hope PSG gets embarrased.

Don't think I care in particular about who advances in the other match tonight. Tomorrow I hope Arsenal and Madrid advance but I don't think either will sadly.

I absolutely despise Barcelona. I honestly might hate them more than I hate Chelsea even. They are one of my all time least favorite clubs. I think the way they've kept kicking the can down the road as far as their finances go has been hilarious, and the sooner they get dumped out the CL the better because it means they make less money.

It started in Paris 06. Then they took Henry. Then in 2011, the Van Persie red card robbed us during a tie we were superior in.

Then they spent two years tapping up and taking Cesc Fabregas from us.

I can't really hold the various Messi demolitions against them, but what I do hold against them is the way they financially mismanaged their dominant position at the top of world football. HOW could you let that fall apart. You had the best team arguably ever for most of a decade. That should've been a platform to set you up financially to succeed FOREVER, and now they're selling the rights to their stadium just to make ends meet? Shambles.

I will admit I have a bit of fondness for Barca specifically because of how brilliant they've been over the years, but supporting PSG of all teams over them as a neutral is wild to me. Like, this is the oil team, the team who kicked off all of the transfer market hyperinflation bullshit with Neymar. Man City are awful especially on the wages side of things but PSG are far, far more flagrant. They bought two players for 400m in a single transfer window and are such a soulless shambles that they still can't even win their league every year, let alone challenge for CL.
Perhaps the golden rock was inside us all along.

That one was a huge disaster for sure. Referee is the issue there definitely though.

They turned over their previous board partially because of economic mismanagement.

A club owned by its fans against a club owned by some oil company basically is the easiest kind if tie to pick a team to root for in though.

I was going to compliment City on how well they've managed getting rid of players who just aren't good enough, past their prime or cause dressing room issues, but of course its much easier to do that when the bosses have essentially infinite money to sign anyone they like. Sends the right signal to the likes of De Bruyne and Bernardo - no one's above being moved on. Barca hung on to several players too long, and Man United's late 00s team likewise.

You guys are taking me supporting PSG in this tie as me supporting PSG in general. They are just the lesser of two evils and I can absolutely count on them to shit the bed in later rounds, where-as I'm not entirely confident of Barca doing that. Plus do we really need to see yet another Barca/Atletico CL tie?

I despise Barca for a lot of the same reasons, but I don't really get 'taking Henry from us'. We were clearly at the end of a cycle, Henry was like 30 and wanted/needed a CL win, and I doubt he would've gotten it with us (but hey, that 08 team!!!). He'd won everything else with us, so I felt it was a somewhat logical step? It's why, out of all the mercs that left us, the only one I can kind of accept at this point is Cole; he was an invincible, had won everything (save that CL),...

Much better than scum like Nasri or RvP who we babied for years in medbays and then he has one amazing season where he's not injured and he goes off.
How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious!
