oh i guess i kinda forgot that this is international and japan does use twitter too and japanese character popularity lists tend to have some wildly out-there picks that are completely different from the english-speaking fanbase

yeah now that you mention it i do recall oldbag being very popular in japan...?

japan tends to like weirdo characters more, i think. like they probably really like meekins.

and japan, in most series, tend to vote for mascot characters that americans hate. (which is why every japanese game has some non-human mascot character)
