Question - who else here actually likes The Answer? Gameplay wasn't great but I thought it was a fitting and necessary conclusion to Persona 3's main plot.

Good thing it's just DLC and not a new game. I mean they'll probably still to a complete version but at least day 1 buyers can just get this instead of buying a full price game again.

I've also always wondered how a FeMC Answer would go since character motivations towards the endgame would shift about and Shinjiro may or may not be there . But we were robbed of that potential here, alas, it will have to remain in the realm of fanfic.

Aegis is how her name is spelled in Japan, and BlazBlue Cross Tag uses that spelling too even in the US version, I believe.

We have Aigis because thats how her name is pronounced.

The Answer did have a good/important story but the gameplay was dogwater, especially if you were trying to do it right after finishing the main game. Ideally they mix it up a lot with this and make it something that's actually fun to play. I can imagine it as a roguelike mode but I imagine that's way beyond the scope and likely the capability of the team.

I vaguely remembered hearing a long time ago that the Protagonist dies and so after I beat Persona 3 Reload I looked up the Answer to see if that's when it happens and now I hate the ending lol

The Answer will explain a bit more, but basically, defeating the final boss used up his energy (literally costs all your HP to use the final ability). After that he was holding on for as long as possible to say his farewells to everyone, as well as hoping that SEES would remember in the end. That's why there's descriptions of him getting increasingly tired as the the day goes on.

Also there were the repeated mentions to your main character getting tired. And the forced choice to close your eyes in the end is given significant gravitas. And after it happens there's symbolism of the blue butterfly flying off into the distance.

It's an ending that a lot of people didn't quite understood on their first viewing, but if you already knew it was happening...

Well I didn't know , I just vaguely remembered hearing it at some point, so it could have been a false memory or someone lying!

It's just weird to me that he used all his energy for that attack but managed to survive so long afterwards. It's supposedly because he wanted to hold out too fulfill the promise of meeting on the roof but he dies before everyone even gets there. Also, Ryoji says something like you'll all go back to your normal lives, him too. and then Aigis is going on and on about being with him, protecting him, etc. How is she going to protect him if he's dead? lol and then the in the end everyone is all smiles and there's no reaction to him being dead at all. It's just very weird to me and I never would have assumed he was dead based on that ending

The weird tone is the point. The main character has accepted his imminent death, which is why he seems at peace at the end, and why the tone/framing isn't purely tragic, but no one else knows it's coming or even realizes something is wrong. The Answer directly deals with the fallout/aftermath of an event like this.
