Yeah actually that's a good point. I've definitely resorted to Nihility path and lots of sustain characters before, even when I don't have Kafka myself.

The deer might be one of the trickier fights for that strategy though idk
I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways.

I've not had good luck with Kafka Nihility on that fight but tbf the last time i tried it was before i upgraded my Kafkas relics so i might give that a shot tomorrow when the SU points reset.

Also Rememberance path should destroy the deer. It doesn't even matter if you don't have any characters built around freeze, though that does help. And if you do want that there's always Misha and March, I guess.

that's true in Genshin, but i'm not convinced it's true here. Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos both want different characters, and there is a decent impetus to have a DPS of every element.

There are still situations sure, but I do think the incentive to pull becomes significantly less and you can choose your spots a bit more carefully once you have two teams.

The anniversary event thing got me to start trying Gold and Gears again, and managed to do it at conundrum level 12. I'd previously made it through level 10 with Qingque+Propogation path and the Occurrence dice before I just kind of stopped trying.

This time I was using Double Sustain Acheron (Fu Xuan, Aventurine, Silver Wolf, Acheron) with the Erudition path, which felt somewhat better based on my memory. Being able to run 2 sustains made it a lot less glass cannon-y and dependent on specific blessings, and Acheron being so absurd meant I was still putting out enough damage. I don't know how the team handles all the final bosses but it's at least well set up to handle the double robot one.

Also I really like Aventurine in simulated universe generally. Just a good sustain but he also synergizes well with both Preservation and Elation blessings.

Aventurine has been excellent. Massive shields, does reasonable damage if kitted right, triggers extra debuffs for Acheron.

No complaints.

Yeah Aventurine's damage is nothing to snooze at. Mine is not built super well but he's probably still on-par with my offensively-geared Pela and Silver Wolf, at least. Probably ahead if I'm pairing him with a lot of follow-up attacks from his teammates.

Edit: Well, my Aventurine is probably in the middle. Surely he could have better relics but I am still sitting around 4.1k DEF and something like 90% CRIT DMG with the Salsotto planar set.

My Aventurine usually hits anywhere from 30-50k with his Ult and between 20-40k with his follow up attack in MoC and PF. Obviously SU can't be trusted.

It's kind of weird how much I realized I like Robin and am looking forward to her despite her almost literally negative screen time in the game so far.

The bits you do get here and there along with stuff like her being in the Owlbert program outside th game are very endearing to me because I like that she just seems like a sweet and slightly silly/airheaded girl.

It also helps that she probably is collaborating with Gallagher for positive goals. We don't know what Gallagher is about, particularly given he's a fictional entity in a lot of ways and connected to Mythus, but given death is fake in the dreamscape, it's very likely he killed Robin at her request so she could go to the real Penacony, and likewise guided Something Unto Death to Sunday for similar reasons. Seeing how she fits into the Penacony puzzle should be super duper interesting.

Bit of an easy Pure Fiction this time around. I like taking infinite turns :) Second team would've probably gone better if i'd just broken down and finally built Dr. Ratio by now, but 40k on the first team makes for easy pickings.

Yeah this was the first one where I just did the whole thing in one go immediately. Basically did the entire thing with Ruan Mei/Himeko/Herta and Clara/Aventurine/Acheron.

I kind of wish Pure Fiction had a few more stages since there's only one that's really a challenge right now.

I dunno how much of the previous Pure Fiction I finished. Havent really paid attention to the schedule of if. Genshin is a lot easier to remember with just Abyss and it always being halfway through the month and at the end of the month

I did the first two stages earlier and man, even not fully built Clara helps a LOT on this one.

I doubt I'll be able to full clear it since I don't have some good chara like Herta etc built yet but it seems like the one I'll get closest to being able to so far.

I cleared MoC 10 with 3 sars for the first time yesterday too.

Getting there!

Early on when I started playing was hilarious because I got Himeko pretty early, I would enter fights in Belobog with them in my party and the initial hit from entering battle would break several enemies, which triggered Himeko, which triggered Herta, and whole encounters would just die from just entering the battle.

Sadly the enemies scaled past that after a few Equilibrium trials

I also think I need to build Herta.

Only got nine stars. I have one good follow-up team with Aventurine and Ratio so the first part of the third floor was an easy 40k, but I was struggling hard to get 20k on the second part. Not even gonna attempt the fourth.
It's not so impossible!

The thing to remember is that Herta is still going to be mediocre to bad everywhere else but PF, so there's no reason to build her as an "all rounder" Herta.

4 Piece Followup Planar, new Erudition Planars, focus on her talent traces, attack boots, personal 4 star light cone with the 96% follow-up attack boost.

The pixel event is just another variation on the usual point battles with trial characters. Doesn't take long at all.

And just beat the deer and finished all first time base SU clears. Went Kafka/BS/Lynx/Pela most of the run and swapped BS for Bailu for the extra mitigation for the boss to be safe but probably didnt need it.

I got the most absolutely disgustingly busted blessing combos that run. Got like every Nihility blessing and then also like all of the good Rememberance 3 stars on top of that (dissociation ones etc).

The deer barely attacked at all outside of phase transitions and just absolutely melted.

yay goal complete! Now to work on Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears more.

Only got 10 stars this PF. Wasn't trying too hard but my Himeko and Herta just can't keep up with the PF power creep. I guess I need to go back to the Duke domain after all.

The Erudition one is the best F2P cone for that path, although we are ALLEGEDLY getting an Erudition Herta cone at some point but who knows.

The others I think are more character dependent. For example the Hunt one is really good for Topaz and only loses to maxed out Swordplay or 5* cones, but it's garbage for Ratio. The Harmony one is basically just for Gallagher.

Oh also don't buy all 5 copies from the currency store. Several of them are quest rewards for finding all the hidden birds in a Penacony area, some come from the clockie statue, so check first. I know there's one Erudition cone you can get that way.

IIRC no. Victor might be better on like, Seele, if her talent works like I think it does. On most Hunts Cruising is by far more performant.

Gepard is freezable! Idk about Cocolia but I know he's eaten shit to Dissociations before. You do need to stack a bushelful of freeze resistance reductions and that one -EffRes buff from nihility to make it consistent, tho.

Alright, got Remembrance down. All normal pathstrider trials done. Still need to get the hidden ones. Not sure I have teams capable of doing some of the paths on torment either, Elation would be fairly tough for me. Otherwise, SD is basically cleared out.

I think I'm on track to have enough passes to guarantee Firefly when she comes out if I don't lose both 50/50s on Robin and Fu Xuan. In fact if I lose Robins 50/50 I may have to seriously consider skipping her after all, because FX is better for me and if I do lose both I really shouldn't consider skipping FX...

Though I guess maybe it looks deceptively OK, but no this is ass lol. The speed is worthless for use as a FUA Herta orb, so basically this upgraded at a 1/5 success rate.

For comparison here is my current Herta Orb, which by comparison as an attack orn had a 100% successful upgrade rate, even if not optimally distributed.

That's not sarcasm, 15% crit value is perfectly usable. For reference, if all of your pieces has those exact stats (sans a crit% chest, we'll assume that rolled raw ATK% and upgraded critdmg once) you'd be looking at like 65% crit% and 85% critdmg. That's very very playable, even if it can be scaled up higher. Obviously not as good as the orb you already had, but that orb itself is a super strong one and you will spend months trying to replace it. No reason to get annoyed over a misfire on something that is liable to take a quarter to upgrade.
