Beating Roche is actually needed for one of the Johnny trophies, and for the Platinum, by extension.
and worse yet, you get probably the best accessory in the game which I was locked out of until finishing the first playthrough
personally I think g-bike would have been bottom 5-10 for me even the first time i played it and dropped further each time they made you replay it
