I refuse to believe anyone could think 2 or 3 are better games. There's no way. All the others I can understand.
2 only got better with the remasters, and was important for history - AND it did the "world is nuked" way before 6 did. 3 has a job system and is already better than 75% of others by default, terrible final dungeon notwithstanding (plus it attempted to be lighthearted after the extreme bleakness.
2 is second worst, but 6 hits all the wrong buttons for me. You could delete half of the party and not suffer from a narrative perspective. Encounters seldom stray from the "just hold fight / avoid the counterattack / gimmick boss" formula.
