In my experience manga are usually much worse in this regard. LN adaptations generally either cover fewer volumes or make huge cuts; either way, there's less repeated content before you get to new stuff. I agree about the overly simple writing simple style, though.True, but manga have pretty pictures! I don't mind getting ripped off there as much.
