So whats the overall assessment on this game? Is this one we should leave in the rear view, or is this gonna be a game thatll be butting up against the other stuff were playing as we try to fit it into our gamer schedules?

Started preloading this game. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing but I was honestly surprised it didn't ask me to make some space on my ps5. Every new release is so big I have to keep deleting games. This is somehow only 30GB.

Demos are pretty big nowadays. The Rebirth demo was 48GB. You need a big chunk of the game to make the demo work.

30GB seems perfectly reasonable, though. 100GB installs can be justified with a lot of detail and/or audio but they shouldn't be the norm.

I'm liking it a lot so far but I will say when it reaches the "open world" segment of the Wasteland I feel like it drops off a little bit. The side missions are uncompelling to say the least and there's a bit too much open space. I was way preferring the more linear, dense sections of the game by far.
I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back.

I beat it. I like it a lot. The combat is phenomenal, but will agree the open exploration zones are the weakest part of the gameplay. In structure I would honestly compare them more to Jedi Fallen Order or Survivor than to an open world, but with less varied environments and platforming options. Everything after the second open zone though is pretty hype.

Story isn't anything special, though there are interesting pieces of lore in all the collectibles you find, similar to a Souls game.

Music 10/10
Eve is undeniably hot.

I definitely want them to learn from this and make a sequel.
