Oh thanks.Have not recruited the cat but after it stopped showing up in fountain rooms for me it moved to the room in between the first and second floors of the surface
I'm kind of bummed thatonly 2 familiars are available at the moment. I really wanted to get the doggo or the polecat as a familiar and they just disappeared permanently as soon as I was given the ability to get familiars. Though I understand why, they just haven't been programed in yet lol.
--Just did a search and it's that Well of Charon item (after the duration, heal X amount). Once it triggers it isn't on your screen anymore so that's why I didn't see anything explaining it.
Beat Eris, didn't realizeYeah I kinda feel like they should've just held it back until it's finished? Hard to say what the best approach for early access games is. But it was definitely annoying to have it cut short, especially when I beat it on my first uncursed attempt.the surface ends right after her. Annoying.
Struggling with the weapons, as others have said. I need an equivalent of the bow from the first game, where it's insanely strong and super long range and kills everything and has practically zero flaws.nvm I found it, it's the skulls =)
nvm I found it, it's the skulls =)
I beat Chronos for real and got new dialogue so I'm choosing to write off the dialogue after beating Eris as something that will make sense retroactively once the rest of that area is finished.
Congrats on the win!! but I think you may be the only skull appreciator in the topic, lol. I mean, it's like the bow if the bow had 3 arrows and you had to go retrieve the arrows by hand isn't it...Thanks! I used to use the bow, and you'd need to retrieve the casts in Hades 1 anyway, so maybe I'm just used to the loop of: attack at close range -> retreat while enemy attacks -> attack from long range -> approach when safe. There were definitely situations where I lost track of the skulls and got punished but it still felt exceedingly safe compared to the other weapons.
Finally beat Chronos. I was using the Staff of Momus, but I never used its special ability. Turns out, you can do a lot of damage if you get every possible +beam bonus.
I've found an actual use for the wands: you can hide behind the pillars in the Eris fight and use the special to summon fireball rings around them. Eris will chase you around them and get hit, letting you cheese 70% of her fight.
Bad news: I posted earlier about the spike in requirements to go from 29 to 30 grasp and I thought I couldn't do it because one of the ultra-rare items was never showing up again (needed 3 of it) but I finally got the other two I needed, and went and upgraded to 30 grasp and.... am then informed 30 is the maximum. Can't upgrade the grasp any further.I'm at 27 right now, and I didn't realize the limit was so low. Seems strange to impose a limit like that when Hades 1 just let you get everything you wanted.
So much for my dream of grinding to get somewhere in the 30s and open up another card or two, I'm sitting on like 2000+ psyche too. Damn!! I mean ideally the cap gets raised with later patches or the full release, or maybe this will indeed be all there is...
You now can gather from any resource point once you have unlocked the corresponding Gathering Tool ; you now can Prioritize any available Tool in the Training Grounds to make its resources appear as often as before, while resources for Tools you do not Prioritize will appear far less often

FixedSatyr Hoplitesretaining the ability to block while afflicted with Twilight Curse (Selene)
So what's the verdict on this compared to Hades 1 Early Access?
Also invalidates the animal companion a bit, I guess they come with a benefit other than resource-gathering but still.Yeah it feels like a weird change for this reason. The pets are definitely more valuable for resources than for any combat benefit
^ there's a cauldron spell which details the requirements for each boon, I don't know its name since I got something brewing right now and can't skip time since I had a hot springs date. Can't recall when the spell unlocks. Was thinking of typing them out but it's just too much - the common throughline for each of them is they need "1 of" a boon from 3 distinct categories, sometimes getting very specific (i.e. only 1 boon in one of the three groupings) but yeah you need 3 (or more) boons from a god before you can get the legendary.Perfect, thank you.
the exception being Hermes whose requirement is just "1 of" nine of his eleven other boons (the two that don't qualify are Tall Order and Quick Buck)
actually screw it I forgot I could take screenshots. here's all the legendary boon requirements (besides Hermes) (I'm sure gamefaqs will compress the hell out of it but ideally it's still legible)

I got one Dark from Chaos. Where do I get more? You can't buy them from the merchant.
