Board 8 » JC tracks and discusses his media consumption (Games, Movies, TV Shows, Books)
Hi friends, I'm going to have an abundance of free time on my hands while recovering from some mental health shenanigans (sobriety kick, hooray) and want a way of keeping track of some of the media I'm consuming. This is going to be a lot of me just keeping track of what I'm doing with some minor discussion. Recommendations are always welcome. This is mostly for my own tracking purposes and to remind myself what I can do with my free time, as well as maybe find some new ways.

Italics is what is currently on rotation.

Video Games
The House in Fata Morgana
League of Legends/Teamfight Tactics
The Great Ace Attorney 1 + 2
Half-Life: Alyx
Abriss
The Last of Us II

TV Shows
Death and Other Details - Season 1
The Magicians - Season 2
RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 5 - Rewatch

Books
How High We Go in the Dark - Sequoia Nagamatsu
The Gone World - Thomas Sweterlisch
The Dark Forest (3 Body Problem Trilogy) - Cixin Liu
Tress and the Emerald Sea - Brandon Sanderson
Umberto Eco - Foucault's Pendulum

Movies to Watch
Cloud Atlas (eh)

My first comment is that Death and Other Details is a spectacular show. It's a great murder mystery that's got the fun of Phoenix Wright cases. It's on Disney+ in Canada and I'm not sure what it's on in the states.

My second comment is that I'm like 15 minutes into Fata Morgana but I'll try to do a light playthrough of it here as I go since it's so highly regarded. Also the kid's names being Mell and Nellie bothers me because I keep wanting to inexplicably say Mellie and Nell. Gah.

I could use some good movie recommendations since my list is short and uninspired.

<DeathChicken> you are my hero for being the first person to cite National Geographic in Mercs
