Target is giving me an error trying to add it to cart - my partner made it through all the way to checkout but the final checkout button is returning an error and she can't get through. So close but so far!

The difference between the US and Europe for Nintendo stuff is just staggering. People were able to casually pre-order the Switch 2 hours after it went live over there a few weeks ago.

I bought the Switch maybe a year after launch (when Mario Odyssey came out) and it was definitely a "walk into a store and buy one" situation.

My partner made it through Target checkout, got confirmation and then immediately received an email saying her order was cancelled, so I guess that's just a thing that's happening. All that false hope and excitement hurts!

I remember getting the early Amazon URL link for the PS5 before it launched and refreshing the page nonstop, and when it finally popped up it was a big blank white screen that just had the buy now button, the name, no pictures at all.

Tried placing the order a few times from Target with no luck. Got a fraud email from my credit card showing the purchase price, but the order does not appear to have gone through.

Walmart is continually trying to verify if I am human....I have no more patience for this. Off to bed!

Might have just managed to nab one from Best Buy - my partner is inexplicably having WAY better luck getting through this shit than I am. After all this craziness we're not going to get truly hyped until we wake up tomorrow and still don't have a cancellation order or w/e
