I think people are really sleeping on Chariots of Fire here. It may just be one song that's particularly iconic but isn't that the case with a lot of these?
To me, that's a mark I'm using to disqualify a number of scores.
Can I think of more than one or two pieces from the movie's score off the top of my head?
A lot of these, the answer is no.
Star Wars, Pirates, Lord of the Rings, Lion King, indisputably yes. Those are not top scores because they feature "the Theme from X", they are top scores because they have a whole body across the whole film that is memorable.
If you're naming a movie for one tune, then you are naming the wrong movie.
"Bordate is a pretty shady place, what with the gangs, casinos, evil corporations and water park." - FAHtastic
