Day 1 - will be arranging songs in a rough order based on how much i like them after ONE (1) unfocused listen. only audio so if there's a video i won't be watching it. will not be looking at any lyrics either yet so will probably miss some stuff! whatever ends up at the bottom will be ELIMINATED.

It has already fallen a bit and may fall further, but hey I'll take it for an initial ranking. I'm no music expert, but my understanding is that nightcore is supposed to take existing songs and remix them, typically by speeding them up around 35%. I've discovered this really appeals to me more than the originals.

Having said that... all the songs on the channel I linked are originals as far as I can tell (there are other remix videos but I don't listen to those). I guess nightcore has grown to the point that some people just make original songs at that tempo? I dunno. All I know is that Luna is one of my favorite artists on that underwatched channel and I'm glad you didn't hate the song.

Hoping Hayley's plays out better in the long run, I chose it as one that would be nice to listen to many times but I may have chosen too lowkey for it. we'll see. She does have solo material that is more upbeat, she also just released an album this past month that's also excellent

Thanks for linking these! I listened to them and the last one was the best of the three. I also liked one I listened to that was in English, but the Nightcord version is my favorite. Miku adds a lot to it imo. It's a good song with lots of nice covers though.

Love Scene Queen!

Only caught part of her set at Warped this year because they had her playing at the same time as the headliner (Avril) and I felt like I'd have more chances to see SQ than Avril at this point (and I'd never seen Avril and I don't think 18 year old me would forgive myself if I didn't)
