It's become extremely difficult for me to watch shows that don't have actual plots anymore, but With You and the Rain has managed to hold me to the end (can't imagine I'll stop now) so I'm honestly impressed. Definitely felt the drag sometimes (episode that was a compilation of end of volume shorts and such almost ended me) but it's just got good enough vibes to hold onto me.

That said it's still the weak link in the Friday and Saturday clusterfuck of quality, but competition is fierce.

The only show I like more than With You is Hanako-kun, but that has the unfair advantage of being a sequel show. Gachiakuta took over Lord of Mysteries third spot again.

For me it's below Call of the Night, Dress up Darling, The Summer Hikaru Died, and Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus. Rascal actually isn't necessarily that big a gap, it's not as good as the first season, but it still holds my attention more in that it...has a story, lol. The other 3 are all anime of the year contenders, though, so yeah it's a rough crowd.

A show where I feel I need to screenshot multiple times for each episode because of how good they are is a great show

It's the perfect balance of having some development here and there with Fuji and who she interacts with, and just general tanuki being cute shenanigans. That Brooklyn 99 meme with the dog, that's 1000000000% me with You. Absolute dream animal I wish I could have.

Two more episodes of Death Note down.

Fbi guy was a super dick to his wife but he should have been dumped, not killed. Very fun how he orchestrated the whole bus hostage thing. Poor girl probably didn't enjoy that date very much though.

Been a few days since I posted. I'm slowly getting back into the groove of watching anime.

I finished Apocalypse Hotel . It was pretty good! My favorite parts were the melancholic moments about living in the only remaining hotel on a destroyed world. The first episode and episode 11 really had that vibe, and those episodes were 10/10 masterpieces. They were up there with Girls' Last Tour in terms of mixing comfy vibes with subtle sadness in an apocalyptic setting. Still, a lot of the comedic moments got too goofy for me, especially a lot with the tanukis. Nothing in this anime was bad, though. It was a solid anime for me to return to the hobby with, and I'm glad I watched it.

Episode 11 is incredible. Maybe the best anime episode this year.

I thought it was great in general, though I can see the tanukis grating.

So one of my friends is planning to see the newest Demon Slayer movie and really wants me to come...the problem is I've only watched the first season of Demon Slayer and didn't end up going back to it yet. But he was really excited to plan the event and for me to come so I'm gonna have to make do....

So I ended up doing at least a little bit of homework and watched Mugen Train finally. It was fun enough, Zenitsu's barely in it who is most of the reason I haven't watched more Demon Slayer so that helped

I've clowned on what happened to the Demon Slayer anime, but honestly doing movies to finish it off was probably a good call.

Don't have to worry about it being an absolutely glacially paced chore.

what 'happened' to the Demon Slayer anime IS the movies. You're complaining about the pacing of a literal filler arc that was created to fill space before the movies.

No movies = Demon Slayer finishes it's anime run by now
