never played the AA trilogy and despite having already spoiled myself on a ton of the stories and plot twists in there (basically know all of the last cases from each of the three games in additional to many others), between our Ace Attorney contest last week & this announcement, might use this as the impetus to finally buy and play them...

What I should really be asking is @FFDragon which RE games in that bundle are best.

I have RE4 remake already and haven't played much of the other titles. Take this as a question from someone who loved RE4, kinda liked RE5, but didn't love any of the PS1 games but is interested because of the remake status on them.

GAA2 genuinely may be my favorite of the whole bunch, between it and AAI2 and T+T

also the second bundle is 15 for each game with a minimum of 2 (I think there is also a 5% off coupon from Wario64 or someone floating around too if you want to knock a little off too? Try omenvip)

Good to hear GAA2 is a return to form.
GAA1 bored me to tears to the point I still haven't finished the final case.

I disliked pretty much everything about the 2nd case and what followed left me often unsatisfied.
Was not a fan of the jury system as it cluttered a lot for me by adding more characters and making interactions kind of all over the place.

Love the original trilogy where just about every character is memorable in some way.

GAC1 was fine, though case 2 was super dry. I actually completed the entire case past midnight one night because I was waiting for an obvious stopping point to go to bed, never found one, and was left feeling "oh" afterwards when it just ended. Case 3 is an obvious jump point with a strong villain. Although the second game's case 3 does both things better (It is a better game overall). I don't really get a lot of the flak the first game gets past case 2. I think a lot of people hold the partially incomplete feeling of case 5 against it, but they only did it because these more than any other AA games were designed to be linked directly together. GAC2 is a direct sequel to 1 in ways that other games in the series aren't. It did exactly what it intended to do with me - It made me immediately go to GAC2 to see the aftermath.

Jury system was fine and didn't feel particularly intrusive. Vilen Borshevik appearing as a juror was a hoot, albeit they did kinda waste the character by having them not exist at all in GAC2.

One notable mistake the second game makes is using Soseki in the first two cases after he appeared in case 4 of the first game. Having him three times in four cases was too much for character with those kind of quirks. His act got really stale.

Now I'm curious to how a hypothetical alternate original trilogy scenario would play out. Would we get different victims/culprits to these cases, too? Could this mean we could have a trilogy where Mia lives but Maya dies in the second case or even one of the sisters accidentally becoming the culprit, changign the dynamic between Wright and the Fey sisters?

My first thought is Dahlia successfully kills Phoenix in 3-1

I feel like just Mia surviving doesn't really change the calculus too much. Killing Phoenix probably guarantees Edgeworth never getting a face change too

RE2Make would be right up your alley. RE3Make is... Fine. Gameplay is great I just have issues with pacing and changes, but is a clear step down from RE2.

I will always recommend REMake as well because I consider it one of the most well put together games ever, and it's bundled with a free RE0 too.

Actually the biggest "what if" in the series if "what if Gregory doesn't get killed and Edgeworth becomes a defense attorney"
