Favorite post-Moana Disney animated character? (no Pixar)

Who is your favorite Disney original animated character that was created post-Moana? This seems to be a dark era of Disney, as it was the end of a very loved era that ran for nearly a decade, ending with Moana.

The films are that are eligible for this era:

• Ralph Breaks the Internet
• Frozen 2
• Raya and the Last Dragon
• Encanto
• Strange World
• Wish
• Moana 2

People don't seem to talk about the characters as much during this period, as it was filled with sequels and uninspired films. Merchandising as well doesn't seem to favor many of the new characters from this era, as even films like Frozen 2 and Moana 2 still just focused on the original characters rather than any pushed new ones. Encanto is obviously the most talked about one, though much of that was because of the music, though I still feel like at least those characters have received some love from Disney.

Who is your favorite?

Mirabel. I love everything they did with her as a protagonist. And like, honestly, Bruno, Isabela and Luisa are probably my #2-4 here.

You're absolutely right. I've heard some people try to say that we're still in the "Revival" but I believe Moana was the last film of that period.

Seeing them all in a row like this is...rough.

Frozen 2 and Encanto are both good movies.

I would say the Revival ends at Frozen II. After that you get the one-two-punch of Disney Plus and COVID which absolutely shifts things into a new era. While I didnt love Frozen II the film did review positively and make a lot of money. So Ralph Breaks the Internet and that are kind of the transitional films at the end of the Revival era. But were definitely well out of it by now.

I liked Encantos entire cast and the racing characters from Ralph Breaks the Internet butyeah.

For what it's worth, Raya was a fine protagonist and I liked the Namaari rivalry angle. I'd put those two on par with the Encanto cast on their own

I havent seen any of them after Frozen 2 I think? I know if I watch Encanto that Bruno song will be stuck in my head for ages though because it was just after hearing my nieces and nephew listen to it. That song is a brainworm

Encanto just towers over everything else here in every way.

Encanto seems really out of place there; it definitely felt a part of the "new Renaissance" period which is definitely over. Has a great overall cast and soundtrack.

I need a Raya and Namaari animated series, just the two of them going on adventures and kicking ass together and maybe kissing
