Slow, drawn-out intro, but after that, I think they've understood the assignment.

Played 4.5 hours yesterday, just got out of the prologue and am right at the start of the Imprisoning War when the map changes.

Its good! The sync mechanic is fun and its solid Musou combat. Minerus moveset is my favourite so far. Playing in hard and its actually pretty challenging, especially with the limited heals. The construct boss you fight as Rauru was super tough.

Plot wise, considering we know how it ends, theyre still doing a good job of telling an interesting story so far. Pretty obvious who Calemo is and almost as obvious who his companion is, but Im looking forward to finding out exactly what the deal is there.

Topic interest. Don't have a Switch 2, but this game would be my main reason for getting one. Love HW Definitive Edition

Oh, huh. So this game just has Star Fox levels, I guess.

Also, I met the Rito sage and they gave him a pompadour so now he's my favourite.

I'm playing through that now! 50%~ completion on about three maps in adventure mode and around 10% on the rest.. 84 hours in. Man this game's unnecessarily big.

Five hundred hours to finish Definitive Edition for me, I think. Insanely long, but I never thought about giving up on it, which has to be a hallmark of an amazing game.

I was expecting more jank since it's an older game, but it truly is a solid musou game. I played AoC to near completion first (map's done, but only one character's really kitted out for apocalyptic difficulty, and I never finished a proper farming weapon) but the first HW is much closer to what I want out of a musou. I can cheese a lot of these missions with two-player mode to unlock 4+ weapons early, but I kinda feel like I don't want to and just chip away at the challenge as it was meant.

Reading a bit on the multiplayer and sounds like it only offers stream-from-one-system style, or am I just missing something obvious?
Haven't played any of the Hyrule Warriors games and feeling that musou itch a bit.

Yeah, it uses gameshare over gamechat or something. Does mean you both only have to buy one copy, but I guess the quality for player 2 depends on internet quality?

Also, just met the Zora sage and man, they do not miss with the Zora designs.
