Likely it'll be higher wind speed upon landfall than Maria had when it struck Puerto Rico. Along with the intense rain softening ground, you're probably going to see a similar annihilation of their entire electric infrastructure, especially in the western half. I... really hope the US actually renders aid, but I have zero faith in them having anywhere near an adequate humanitarian response to this. Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and the UK will likely do what they can.
But yeah, this was the fourth storm this Atlantic hurricane season to undergo rapid intensification, and the 3rd Cat 5 storm. It was fortunate those other three generally missed most land, though they did have some effects on the Lesser Antilles, Bahamas and later Bermuda. Sad that the luck ran out.
