Not anyone in here but I'm not a huge fan of the Celtics because of how obnoxious some of their fans are on social media. Which I guess is just an issue with any team that has a massive fanbase.
Seen a lot of Knicks fans say 'But injuries!' as if that isn't a by product of Thibs running his key players into the ground all season long
I wonder how much the Magic front office regrets giving up a home game to play in Mexico City. Magic lost that game by 1 point and were 1 game off home court in the playoffs

I think with how the playoffs have shaken out, you could conceivably make a case for the Magic being the second most challenging team for the Celtics to face. I don't remotely expect the Magic to have won that series but 5-7 (probably 6) games against the team you need to beat the following year would have been a great experience
Yeah, it was this stretch

Dec 9 - Lost to Villa 1-0
Dec 17 - Beat Brighton 2-0
Dec 23 - Drew with Liverpool 1-1
Dec 28 - Lost to West Ham 2-0
Dec 31- Lost to Fulham 2-1

From January to season end they won 16, lost 1 and drew 1. The draw is neutral as it was to City.

So Arsenal had zero room for error if they couldn't beat City. They had to win all 17 non City games to win the league
It's not even anything Arsenal did late season that really lost them it. Sure they lost games and the ones to Aston Villa hurt but it was the end of December that really prevented them from winning the title. They took like 4 points over 5 games or something woeful. Rest of the season they were solid.

So I wouldn't even say they bottled it, they just faltered early in the season and it left them no room for error in the second half of the season. The fact that they kept it this close should still be a massive credit to them
Kinda crazy that Bayern Munich's points total would have won them the league last year too

I agree that "Coffee, black" means no anything, but I feel like I've been asked to clarify a lot more recently.

This. Anytime I go through a drive through and say coffee, black they still ask me about sugar almost every time and sometimes they still even ask about cream.
It won't ever happen but I really wish they would do something about QB contracts. The disparity between QBs and everyone else is ridiculous. And yes it's the most important position but you have mid-tier or worse QBs (not talking about Goff) earning more than the best player at every other position.
In a draft that is projected to be ass, I wonder how high someone is willing to take him for a shot of 1 year of LeBron
If they wanted to, the Magic can easily trade for KAT. I don't think they would as it doesn't make sense but they could easily do cap space + 1 player + picks to make salary matching work. There's teams out there that could trade for KAT if they wanted
At this point what does it matter? You just needed the 3 points which is what you got.

It's out of your hands and you still need City to mess up but all that matters is that you win regardless of the score line
People blowing up about Pistons being 5th in back to back years. Do people not understand odds?

They basically lost 2 coin flips that were ever so slightly in their favor. The 5th pick was their most likely individual draft position at 47.9%, hardly shocking that they ended up in their most likely position
So even with points deductions in play, the 3 teams that went up are all going back down

And it's likely that of the teams that went down last year, 2 of the 3 will come back up.

Got to love this very real even playing field we have between the premier league and everyone else
What the fuck
Coventry vs Ipswich is a big one
I'll be back with the Steelers
Apparently stats did not support his blocking still being good. However I have not verified this or looked at any tape

This feels big if it happens

They also have a game in hand on Bournemouth and are only 1 points behind them. If they jump them with that game in hand, the top 10 is basically who you expected preseason

Always gotta run the clock down to 0

Guy I watched the draft with last night says teams are forced to otherwise they get in trouble. He's a Lions fan and he says they got in trouble for putting their pick in too quickly at a draft before
Was part of some world firsts in FFXI

And whilst not world firsts, did do some early harder content clears in FFXIV before everything blew up. Mainly coils of Bahamut stuff before it was nerfed
I haven't done taxes yet but only because I'm pissed off as I'm going to owe a decent chunk

I always file Single with 0 to make sure I never owe money and usually get money back. My wife fucked up and put down married with like 3 or 4, basically put it down in a way that registered as me not working so she got my tax allowance too.

So when I preliminarily put it in, we owed a couple of thousand at least and I just haven't had the mental strength to run through all the tax allowances to bring it down (I sell on eBay so there's definitely ways I can reduce it)
Oh shit. That was so unnecessarily ruthless. I somehow do not think there is any coming back from being disintegrated? That's a shame as I liked her but I did expect her to die or suffer some grim consequences of her actions because she totally could have fled there but I guess that would have been against her character.

Now just to keep watching and see what the fuck Ruby just did that was crazy enough to shock Cinder
Oh, this is not going to end well for Pyrrha. With a name like that and she just gave herself a massive death flag by kissing Jaune
Just got to the end of Heroes and Monsters (S3 Ep11) in RWBY. Well that is certainly a stakes raising episode

Oh and the music is exceptional which is how I originally found it after Spotify played some of the soundtrack for me
Started watching RWBY. That first season was super rough, i'm not sure i would have been able to persist with it if it hadn't been so short and auto played to season 2. Even now the animation is an eyesore but it's not as bad as season 1 which it feels like I could have put together on a laptop in my spare tine (I assume that's how it was made).

It has enough hooks to keep me invested for now though and I assume quality must pick up for it to have as many seasons as it does

Edit: I'm midway through season 3
Final Fantasy VII
Gran Turismo
Resident Evil
Metal Gear Solid

Surprised that Castlevania is picking up so many votes. Maybe it just wasn't as big in Europe but I literally never even saw it or knew of it's existence until long after the PS1 life cycle was done
Arsenal were 5 points off the title last season and only took 13 points from a possible 27 to finish the season (including losing 3 out of their final 6 games). Villa were 10 points off 4th.

Arsenal last year were far better than anyone expected so ended up far closer to title contenders than Villa did to CL contenders

Over the last 4 seasons

4th: 71, 71, 67, 66
5th: 67, 69, 66, 62

Whoever finishes 4th/5th will outdo the points total for those finishes in recent years. There is no 'giving it away'

And let's be realistic, it's going to be Spurs/Villa in some order at 4th and 5th. Man Utd have no shot given they have to win out (zero chance) and hope both those teams drop a lot of points. Utd would only have 72 points and a far inferior GD even in the highly unrealistic scenario they win 8 in a row (which would involve beating Liverpool and Arsenal somehow). Utd will be lucky to get to 66 points
Unless Arsenal win the league then Villa finishing 5th would be more impressive to me

It's also worth sharing that Trials of Death has been beaten not once but twice now, with this incredible unintended route having been discovered:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTbEoZonl9A

See I watch this stuff and it's always just so chaotic that I have absolutely no idea what is going on or how this would differ from the intended method as all of them seem to do this sort of nonsense
I've definitely spent like $25 on drinks at venues before for shitty drinks that aren't remotely worth it. At the Nier concert last week my wife's 'double' wine glass was $22 which was crazy as it was on tap. I've been to South Beach and paid stupid prices before because they basically scam you by not telling you prices

The most I've intentionally paid for a drink knowing the cost is about $35 for a whiskey but realistically it was still a massive upcharge versus bottle cost. I regularly drink whiskey at home that is $80-120 a bottle but on a per drink basis that doesn't work out that bad. Usually when I go out drinking with my friends at the bar we go on $2 drinks night (beers are typically $5-8 per pint in Orlando)

Food wise I'd never spend more than like $15-20 if it's just me and I regularly eat gas station food for lunch. However if I'm taking my wife out for dinner we will go places that end up being $100-150 for the both of us. Which I guess probably has $40-50 ish for a single meal plate
Couldn't imagine doing one of these without species clause but good for you for making it work
All I thought was 'No way is it that time again, it hasn't been anywhere near a year'
I used to use it back in like 2020 or so but stopped as it just kept going up and up. Seems to have flattened out a bit. I remember it went from like $45 to $65 (when I cancelled it) over 3-4 pay increases in like a year. I think it was how frequent they were that pissed me off. The service itself was good.

Oh wait no, I remember exactly why I cancelled it. The price increases was indeed pissing me off but they lost the local channel that showed Orlando Magic and Orlando City Soccer games on which was the only reason I paid for it.
As my season is completely in the gutter and I am likely trying to overhaul everything next season. The following players are on the trade block

DE Melvin Ingram (92 - 29yo)
HB Christian McCaffrey (90 - 27yo)

Both are expiring but young so you would be trading for them with the intent to resign them next year rather than treating them as rentals. For the cost a rental would fetch, I'd just keep them

Their OVRs may have changed during the season with how trash the team has been but I can have KCF verify if there's any interest
I think it was in the $650-750 range. I forget the exact number as I did a trade in and it was ~$400 after that. I know the one before that was $570 off of eBay but was usually $800 retail.

I've just been sticking with OnePlus the last 3 phones as they seem to give decent bang for the buck and have the features / specs I'm looking for.
I own quite a lot of them although I do have a record player. Most of them have basically been played once and that's it though
He's not going to be that guy but I do also think he's better than he showed at the Bears. He may need to sit and watch a bit though.

His contract situation probably led to his lack of value too but I get why nobody would want to give him a starting gig right now
Would have rather kept him for that price even if he was backup for whoever we draft.

I could end up being wrong but I'm also just not as high as everyone else seems to be on Caleb and I watch a lot of college football so it's not like I've only seen highlights
When I saw Randall Park was in this I was hoping they would also cast John Krasinski
QBs going to sleep easier tonight
If something was running completely ass and like 10-15 FPS then I'd care. That's what used to happen in crowded raid settings back in the day. But if something is 30 FPS then it's fine.

TV shows are shot in 24-30 FPS. Live sports are usually 30 FPS. But I never hear people complain about shitty FPS when watching TV shows and demand 60 FPS
I did a quick Google search to see if I crazy and the only one that notices the difference between the two graphics settings and I'm not. Other people also say that performance mode is blurry / smudgy in comparison
Yes, plenty of times. I just don't feel the difference is as big a deal as people make out.
Yeah, I'm on the opposite end of that spectrum. I have never understood why 30 FPS was such a deal breaker to so many people but I see it's a very common issue so I know I'm likely in the minority

Maybe it's the years of playing MMOs on maxed out settings and I just got so used to lower FPS that FPS doesn't bother me as long as it's at least 30. Whereas stationary graphics I'm more likely to notice the difference
UshiromiyaEva posted...
That's...still my stance? Not sure how you're misreading that. The two modes look exactly the same except Graphics runs worse than Performance. Spinning the camera in Graphics mode makes me feel dizzy.

The two modes look exactly the same to you.

I would rather have 30 FPS and high resolution than 60 FPS and lower resolution

UshiromiyaEva posted...
Every single screenshot I've seen of Graphics to Performance comparison showing how the Performance mode looks "worse" has been a 10x zoomed screenshot of Tifa's shoulder or some shit.

The game looks identical on both modes when actually playing it. The only people who actually notice a difference are the same people who post GIFs of Cloud getting out of the water and not dripping onto the floor and screaming"Oh the PS5 is fucking COOKED!".

Weren't you on the opposite end of this earlier saying you toggled on graphics mode and were saying how do people play like this saying it was bad? I've had zero issues with graphics mode and would say that any difference you're noticing is akin to what you're saying about graphics mode above
I'd say regardless of play, City are the favorites just because they have so much experience in this situation. They are just a different animal in the backend of the season who seemingly rarely ever drop points year after year
First Yoshitaka Murayama and now this? Right in the fucking childhood. What a miserable month
