I spent 10 hours on it over the weekend, shaking off some rust and building a new str/faith build. Cleared out most of Limgrave and started on Stormveil Castle. Just prepping for the DLC.

Congrats on your first home. I also relied on inheritance money to afford the down payment on my home. Been here over a year now. Thank fuck I live in a flyover province. I wouldn't have been able to afford it if I lived in Ontario, BC, Quebec, or Alberta.

The people who worked on Dragon Age Origins were a lot of the core that worked on Baldur's Gate during the Black Isle Studios days. So yes, it was a spiritual successor of sorts. Turns out a lot of them moved on to Obsidian Entertainment afterwards to make New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and The Outer Worlds.

Why does Dragon Age need to go away just because you personally think it needs to be what it was 15 years ago?

I got into Dragon Age Origins because it was seen as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate 2. It was a brilliant game, but failed at cross-platform viability. Subsequent games in this series have gone to a more action-oriented style, which is fine. If I want more CRPGs, there are a ton of other games out there that I can play. There's only one Thedas, though. Can't wait to see what Varric and Solas get up to in the next game. Of course, I'm not pre ordering it. I'd be stupid to after all of the troubling development it's come through.
